Milestones
Projects within SPACE are broken down into discrete milestones where each milestone has a due date and specific criteria for evaluation. Upon logging into the system, students are presented with a list of all their projects. Within each project, students can view a list of all intermediate milestones and access their work with a single click.

Similarly, teachers can find color-coded information about student progress organized by milestone. At a glance, teachers can view by class, a student's position, and the tasks completed along a project's timeline. From this summary, a teacher can view individual pieces of student work along with the related feedback given by teachers and students.

Work Entry
A number of interfaces are available for students to enter their work. These interfaces include: plain text entry area, bibliographic notes database, and multimedia upload facility. All of these modalities can be commented on by students and teachers.

Feedback and Assessment
Students and teachers can quickly and easily comment on student work that is in the system. This commentary can be both textual and quantitative, with respect to teacher-set criteria.

Journaling
SPACE has the capabilities to support student journaling. This centralized location for journal entries simplifies the process for teachers to view progress and give feedback.
