Design Partners

Researchers at University of Illinois at Chicago, Northwestern University, and University of Chicago are working in collaboration with partner Chicago public high schools and science teachers. With the help of Inquirium, LLC, and Pearson Knowledge Technologies, these researchers and practitioners are developing computer-based web programs to further help students in their reading-to-learn efforts. They also work together to provide students with structurally more considerate text and to provide professional development to guide science teachers through the "Investigations in Environmental Science" curriculum using ALSP tools: annotation, double-entry journals, and summary writing.
